Traffic Accident near Long Barn Area Left Two Hurt, One Arrested

SONORA, CA (July 27, 2022)Leroy Keller and Earlene Keller sustained injuries from an accident on Highway 108, Saturday morning.

The crash happened on July 16th, at around 8:00 a.m., when 49-year-old Joshua Kohl stole a Ford F350 pickup truck.

According to California Highway Patrol, Kohl was seen driving around Highway 108 near Long Barn Area.

Consequently, police began to pursue Kohl as he attempted to escape the area. He then crossed the double yellow lines crashing head-on into a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Leroy heading eastbound.

Afterward, another vehicle, identified as a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Diana Barreno of Twain Harte, struck the Ford and was thrown into an embankment.

In addition, a 2018 Subaru Outback driven by Charles Hester of San Mateo, was also struck by the Sonic.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported both Leroy Keller and Earlene Keller to Doctors Medical Center and Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Furthermore, the occupants of the two other involved vehicles escaped unharmed. Kohl also suffered minor injuries and was treated before being placed under arrest by Sonora Police.
