34-Year-Old Man Dies in Solo-Vehicle Collision on Maverick Street

CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (July 18, 2022) – Monday morning, a solo-vehicle crash on California City Boulevard claimed the life of Leon Glenn Mims. 

Local police responded to the scene around 3:02 a.m., just east of Maverick Street on July 11th.

Per reports, Mims was traveling in the area when he lost control of his vehicle for reasons unknown. As a result, his vehicle veered off the road and overturned causing life-threatening injuries.

First responders arrived shortly after and pronounced 34-year-old Mims, of Los Angeles dead at the scene.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, no further details have been released to the public.
