BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 11, 2022) – 50-year-old Leobardo Gomez Marquez was killed Sunday night, in a pedestrian crash on East California Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene around 10:45 p.m., near Baker Street shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a pedestrian down in the roadway. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
