Wrong-Way Crash on Loop 101 Killed 35-Year-Old Leo Jones

GLENDALE, AZ (November 8, 2021) A wrong-way crash on Loop 101 and Cardinals Way claimed the life of Leo Jones Wednesday morning.

The collision took place at around 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Loop 101 at Cardinals Way.

According to the Phoenix Firefighters, Jones was driving a white Kia when for reasons unknown, he collided with a semi-truck.

Moreover, he semi-truck driver was uninjured.

The DPS believes alcohol played a role in the collision.

An active investigation is still ongoing.
