Jeff Garlin is not afraid to go tête-à-tête with some of showbiz-dom's most outspoken and brilliant hot shots. Michael Moore, Henry Rollins, Larry David, Judd Apatow, John Waters, Conan O'Brien, Garry Shandling and more have all sat down for his “By the Way, in Conversation With…” series at Largo. Tonight he welcomes Lena Dunham, creator of HBO's Girls. What's he dying to talk to the hit “It” girl about? Garlin tells us, “So many things. I'm a big bowl of curious. I'm just a huge fan of hers.” And his fave character on the show? “Lena's character, Hannah. I wish her character worked for me. Every day I'd hug her and tell her that she's a great writer, and that everything is going to work out.” Maybe the two of them will become besties and will hit the bars after the show. Or not. “I don't drink,” Garlin says. “Maybe an omelette.” Largo at the Coronet, 366 N. La Cienega Blvd.; Mon., Sept. 24, 8 p.m.; $30. (310) 855-0350, largo-la.com.
