18-Year-Old Woman Killed in Traffic Accident near Marsh Creek Road
BRENTWOOD, CA (April 14, 2022) – Thursday morning, a car crash on Highway 4 claimed the life of 18-year-old Leilani Lake.
The incident happened around 5:48 a.m., near Balfour and Marsh Creek Road. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Investigators stated that the driver of an eastbound Toyota Corolla crossed the double-yellow lines and collided head-on with a westbound International gas truck.
As a result of the impact, Lake was left trapped inside her vehicle. Eventually, first responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene, while the driver did not sustain any injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities diverted eastbound traffic off the highway at Balfour Road and westbound traffic off at Marsh Creek Road.
At this time, Brentwood Officials continue to investigate the crash and will release more information as it becomes available to the public.
