Call your mom, or your grandmom, because their favorite doom metal band (not this one), St. Vitus, is rolling into town. Since the days of Carter administration, St. Vitus spread their dark, sludgy metal across the universe and created black holes inside conversion vans with airbrushed wizards on the sides. Though a series of breakups over the years threatened the very existence of these doom metallurgists, St. Vitus marches on, headlining a stellar stoner rock show on January 28th with three original members featuring Dave Chandler (guitar), Scott “Wino” Weinrich (vocals), and Mark Adams (bass) with new drummer Henry Vasquez. Joining St. Vitus at the Ultra Violet Social Club the outstanding Oaklandites Saviours and L.A.'s own Ancestors, who play their first show since the release of their album, Of Sound Mind the show is going to rock both your outer and inter spaces.
Oh and make sure to tell the guy cleaning out the nacho cheese from the microwave at 7-11. He probably loves/was in St. Vitus, and the wifi by the beef jerky aisle is spotty at best. And if he doesn't want to work a double to swing the tickets, maybe he score a free pair from City of Devils by making a rad poster.
