As everyone knows, cops are supposed to Protect & Serve.

But, of course, it doesn't always happen that way. Sometimes things get a little nuts – words are said, accusations are made and civil liberties are thrown out the window.

Such was the case, according to a woman from Lancaster, who says that she was just driving along when a couple of LA Sheriff's deputies pulled her over, insulted her looks, called her a whore and arrested her for no reason at all.

According to a recently filed federal court lawsuit, Roseanne Larsen and her husband drove into a parking lot next to a LA County building last summer when a sheriff's deputy blocked the car and demanded to see Larsen's husband's driver's license and registration.

Larsen says the officer did not allow her husband to place the car in “Park,” which led to the car nearly crashing into a bush.

Next, says Larsen, the officer falsely claimed that the car had not been registered for six years and threw Larsen on top of his sheriff's vehicle.

And that, according to Larsen, is when the verbal attack began.

The officer “began a verbal assault,” the lawsuit states, “accusing [Larsen] of spiking her strawberry lemonade with alcohol, arriving at the County office to collect free money to buy dope, accused [Larsen] of needle drugs, despite her trypanophobia, commenting that [Larsen] looked much older than her 45 years of age, attempting to convince [Larsen] that her bottle of Bayer aspirin was in fact ecstasy … and calling [Larsen] a liar and a tweaker, falsely arresting [Larsen], and then further harassing her.”

In addition, says Larsen, the officer accused her of driving under the influence and being a prostitute.

Larsen is now suing the LA County Sheriff's Department, claiming she was assaulted and falsely arrested.
