Head-On Collision near Lockhart Gulch Road Left Man and Woman Dead
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (September 1, 2023) – Early Wednesday evening, a traffic collision on Skypark Drive claimed the lives of Laurie Bryant and Steven Bryant.
The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. on the road between Skypark Drive and Lockhart Gulch Road.
According to reports, a gold sedan collided head-on with a white commercial van for unknown reasons.
Responding emergency personnel declared the two occupants of the sedan dead at the scene. Later, the Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office identified the two victims as 58-year-old Laurie E. Bryant and 62-year-old Steven L. Bryant. Both people were residents of San Jose.
Furthermore, a third passenger of the sedan –described to be a female child– was transported to a trauma center in critical condition.
The Scotts Valley Police continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
