Traffic Accident on Arden Way Kills 54-year-old Woman

SAN JOSE, CA (July 19, 2022) – Tuesday night, a pedestrian collision near Leeward Drive claimed the life of Laura Patricia Ortega Bautista.

According to the report, the incident happened around 6:50 p.m. near Arden Way.

Bautista was walking in the area near Leeward Drive and Arden way. While trying to cross the street, she was struck by a 2005 Nissan SUV. The impact of the crash left her with critical injuries.

Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after and rushed Bautista to a local hospital. There, she succumbed to her injuries and officials pronounced the 54-year-old dead the next day.

Meanwhile, authorities said the driver involved remained at the scene at that time and cooperated with the investigators.

San Jose Officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian crash on Leeward Drive and Arden Way.
