“Bring a sin and be forgiven” is the existential lure of this West Coast edition of Heart of Darkness, a consistently sold-out fixture of the downtown New York stand-up comedy scene. Created by visionary chuckle-teer Greg Barris, Heart of Darkness presents everything from live music to comedy in a metaphysical vein, nimbly straddling the laugh line between funny-odd and funny-haha. Tonight's show features musician and professional dustbunny Reggie Watts, the scuzzed-out video madness of Everything Is Terrible!, observational scoundrel Rory Scovel, the whimsically wonderful Kate Berlant and “other special things,” which could mean all manner of nouns destined to be transmogrified into pure laughter under the sorcerial powers of Heart of Darkness. Cinefamily, 611 N. Fairfax Ave.; Sun., March 3, 10 p.m.; $12. (323) 655-2510, cinefamily.org.
