You can read all about the bands you shouldn't miss at the FYF Fest elsewhere in this paper, but the festival has a strong comedy component with Maria Bamford, Matt Braunger, Baron Vaughn, Brendon Walsh, Brent Weinbach, David Cross, DJ Douggpound, The Eric Andre Show, Greg Barris, Jerrod Carmichael, Jim Hamilton, Joe Sib, Jonah Ray, Kumail Nanjiani and Leo Allen. As far as performing comedy for a largely music crowd, Sib (pictured) tells us, “Hipsters have two good knees, they can drink in the sun all day and not worry about it. Hipsters are young with their entire lives ahead of them. In short, they are stoked! I, on the other hand, am a middle-aged man who is trying to find sunscreen, shelter and to stay hydrated so that I don't pass out in front of them while telling jokes and stories.” The Los Angeles State Historic Park,1245 N.
