The latest water main to blow occurred just before 3 p.m. in Canoga Park, at Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Victory Boulevard, the L.A. Times reports. It follows by a day similar burst pipes in Warner Center and Winnetka — almost suggesting that the breaks are pursuing a northwesterly route through the San Fernando Valley. TCB remains closed at this time, just as the evening commute gets into full swing.

“Why is this happening?” the Times quotes L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine. “We need to get answers . . . Every day we hear of another one breaking.”
