Last night, October 2nd, was a beautiful, refreshing night at the Greek with Sigur Ros taking the stage.   Nothing could have been sweeter than the silence of the crowd mid-set during a break in the intro to “Festival” from the band's latest release Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust.  Silence!  Everyone attentive… listening… before the eruption of strings that swirled up and into decrescendo, leaving the melody at the sound of a whistle.  The genius of that whistle!
