The Pennywise secret show to debut new singer Zolie Teglas finally happened last night at LA's Air Conditioned Lounge and Supper Club after being shut down on Wednesday night in Long Beach.

The band and its fans descended upon the venue and turned it into exactly what guitarist Fletcher Dagge thought to be impossible the night previous: “To have a nice rowdy old school bar show.”

It was rowdy, old school, and… full of some of the best carousing drunks and skater punks in LA.

The Air Conditioned Lounge squeezed a Pennywise show into an already booked night of local LA and Venice Beach bands, including Hellride and Taxi. People at the door going in to see those bands had not a clue whatsoever that they'd soon be walking into the one of the craziest aggro Bro mosh-pits around.

Instead of riots, mace, SWAT teams, helicopters, barricades, and billy clubs, it was pretty much a regular Thursday night at the AC Supper Club, with the inclusion of the low-security high-volume Pennywise blitzkrieg hour.

“Fuck Authority! We're just the fucking messengers,” screams the nicest angry 7-foot tall guitarist to date, followed by a perfect performance of Bro Hymn.

Venice Beach's skate punkers, of which there were many, were pretty much out of their minds. “Whoa dude, I've been blasted!,” said one. Indeed.
