If you were looking for a kick-ass, rock and roll time last night and were anywhere other than the Mayan Theatre downtown, then you just didn't find it. With the Hives and Eagles of Death Metal on the bill, it's hard to think there was a more rockin' spot in Los Angeles last night (unless Led Zeppelin had actually been playing somewhere and not just been the house music before EODM hit the stage).  Jesse “The Devil” Hughes had the gold cape, another pair of panties to add to his collection, plus Josh Homme and Joey Castillo on the drums.  Sweden's the Hives turned in their usual high energy smash of a set right after EODM finished tearing it up.  My head nearly exploded. Devil horns all around!  Check the photos here.

And for all you EODM fans, make sure to read yesterday's interview with Jesse Hughes.
