LudoBites was hopping last night, as it is every night, but this time it featured seven new menu items, three food celebrities and one celeb no-show. Joe Bastianich of Mozza fame, Babbo fame, and seemingly countless other restaurants, was in attendance (his mother is also the woman behind one of the greatest cooking shows of all time). He was eating at a large table, enjoying a family-like atmosphere with guests that included upcoming Top Chef Masters competitor Graham Elliot Bowles (need proof?). Good Food host and Angeli Caffe chef Evan Kleiman also took in the Ludo whirlwind, via a quiet table for two.

The restaurant was buzzing with news of a possible Gordon Ramsay appearance, but it was, alas, not to be. The funniest moment of the night though, and the one most indicative of our modern food age? Even our server, Matthew Kang, was recognized by a patron who quickly stopped him while waiting for her table, blurting out “Hey, are you Mattatouille!?”
