A reminder that this Sunday is LA Weekly's First Annual Pancake Breakfast, in which lots of people will come to eat lots of pancakes in an event curated by Jonathan Gold. Yes, the man eats breakfast as well as banchan and tacos. Of course he does. So get up before your customary mid-afternoon wake-up call and come to Vibiana's. The “decommissioned” former Cathedral of St. Vibiana being pretty much the perfect place for a Sunday morning food event. Eat enough pancakes and drink enough coffee or cocktails or both and you may see God too. For specifics and to order tickets — which will not be sold at the door — turn the page.

So who's making your breakfast? Salt's Cure, 101 Noodle Express, Glowfish Truck, Kobawoo House, Square One, BLD, FIG, Quan Mien Trung, Xoia, DuPar's, Marston's, Warszawa, Tiara, Playa, Mayura Restaurant, Original Pancake House, Dinah's Family Restaurant, Meals by Genet and Nickel Diner. Coffee will be by Zona Rosa Caffe and LA Mill; expect mimosas, vodka Bloody Marys and 4 different kinds of rum drinks.

As of this writing, there were still about a hundred tickets left. So go order one if you want, as no tickets will be sold at the door. The Pancake Breakfast takes place Sunday, August 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for grown-ups, $10 for kids 3-10, and free for kids 3 and under.
