Antonio “Ali” Nozar is not licensed by the state to remove hair, yet he apparently managed to do just that, and more, at his Smooth Skin Laser Clinic at 1016 E. Broadway in Glendale, according to police.

Nozar, 48, is accused of posing as a doctor and using his business to sexually assault clients, cops are alleging.

He was arrested yesterday on suspicion of sexual battery and operating a business without proper licensing. The doctor whose name he allegedly used, 76-year-old Hooshang Tabibian, is also the subject of a warrant as police believe he allowed Nozar to use his name in exchange for cash. Tabibian is wanted for “unlawful practice of medicine,” according to a statement released by Glendale police.

Cops say Nozar sexually violated his patients on multiple occasions. On Aug. 12 he assaulted a 28-year-old client, they alleged.

“In this case, the suspect became more brazen as he reportedly licked the victim’s private area and made several attempts to kiss the victim,” the Glendale department stated.

Another incident this month involved a 31-year-old woman who told investigators that Nozar allegedly “inappropriately touched her private areas,” cops said.

With these kinds of allegations, detectives want to know if more victims might be out there. Call Glendale police at 818-548-4991 if you have information on the case.
