Dennis RomeroRecently broadcast dash-cam video (after the jump) of an explosive clash between drivers on the Las Vegas Strip that ended with three dead could shed new light on a case that reached all the way to Los Angeles.
Ammar Harris, a self-described pimp who police said was behind the wheel of a Range Rover when he opened fire on a man in a Maserati Feb. 21, was indicted in the case over the weekend:
The taxicab video, obtained by KSNV television in Las Vegas, shows a black Range Rover hook in front of a Maserati at a stop light; words were reportedly exchanged between the drivers.
Both vehicles speed off, and the Maserati catches up with the Rover at another light; again, it seems that words are exchanged.
Both drivers take off as the light turns green and shots are fired. According to the station, victim Kenneth Cherry, a.k.a. rapper Kenny Clutch, was shot in a shoulder, with the round going through his chest.
The 27-year-old was well on his way to dying, the report indicates, when the apparently out-of-control Maserati clipped a pickup truck and then smashed into a taxi, killing both people inside the cab.
That collision was captured on another video clip from a taxicab dash cam obtained by KSNV.
Harris was soon identified as a suspect and he was ultimately captured at a friend's apartment in Studio City Feb. 28.

The station forwarded a new theory about the killing, that the 26-year-old suspect had beef with someone at the valet stand at the Aria hotel minutes earlier, someone who drove a Maserati.
It could have been a case of mistaken identity, sources told station KSNV. In fact, some of the women in the car with Harris reportedly told him he was looking at the wrong Maserati as he drove on the Strip.
