A black man discovered dead in the hallway of a Van Nuys motel on Sunday night has been identified as 29-year-old Larry David Green of Northridge.

LAPD detectives were called to the Voyager Motor Inn at about 11 p.m., City News Service reports. They spent the entire night “collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses” at the motel, which is located in the 6500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.

What appears to be Green's Facebook profile…

… lists him as a 1999 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School, also located in Northridge. The motel where he was shot lies closer to the other side of the Valley:

The L.A. County Coroner lists Green's birthday as November 30, 1981. According to his Facebook, he had at least one son.

We've contacted LAPD Detective Robert Bub for more details about the shooting, but the Van Nuys station says he's gone for today, as he was up all night investigating Green's apparent homicide.
