71-Year-Old Man Killed in Deadly Pedestrian Accident near Cantina Drive

VICTORVILLE, CA (January 19, 2022) – 71-year-old Larry Bell died Thursday evening in a pedestrian collision on Palmdale Road.

According to police, the fatal crash occurred around 5:57 p.m., just west of Cantina Drive across from the Victorville Village strip mall.

Initial investigations revealed that Bell was walking south across Palmdale Road when an eastbound black 2013 Lexus sedan struck him. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced Bell dead at the scene due to the extent of his condition.

In addition, the Lexus driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities who at this time, have yet to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

Moreover, crews closed the eastbound lanes of Palmdale Road following the incident during cleanup and preliminary duties.
