48-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Auto Accident on East 7th Street

LONG BEACH, CA (August 26, 2022) – Police responded to a pedestrian crash that claimed the life of Larita Davis, early Monday morning.

The incident took place at the intersection of East 7th Street and Campus Drive around 1:40 a.m.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a driver struck 48-year-old Davis as she was walking in the area.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigations. Police said no arrests have been made following preliminary investigations. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
