At a West Valley raid on Wednesday, part of the LAPD's optimistically titled “Operation New Horizons,” officers stumbled upon a cache of ridiculously illegal weaponry to make the little gangsters in them squeal with glee.

Though they'd only been searching for two shotguns and a handgun — according to the San Jose Mercury News — they got the surprise of their lives when they discovered 31-year-old felon Mike Foreman was stashing “at least 21 high-powered firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and high-capacity magazines, as well as body armor and gas masks.”

And these weren't just any old guns.

The Los Angeles Daily News reported that “some were outfitted with a bayonet, tripod and even a glowstick attached to the barrel for night shooting.”

If that doesn't make you want to join the force, we don't know what will.

We can only hope the team took this opportunity to emerge in slow motion, badges a-sparkle, cradling the glistening beasts while Green Day blasted in the background:

“One 21 guns / Lay down your arms, give up the fight / One 21 guns / Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I”
