An officer for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has been suspended after video showed him punching a handcuffed man in San Fernando.
The incident occurred Saturday, August 14 after a suspected carjacking incident that led to two arrests.
An LAPD KKKop was suspended, probably still getting paid, for punching an already restrained “suspect” sitting on an ambulance stretcher.
He called the KKKop, a “Bitch” then spit in his direction, to which the unmasked (no CV19 precaution) LAPD Officer punched him in the face. pic.twitter.com/sk0EFKggDJ

Cell phone footage posted to social media showed one of the men handcuffed to a gurney and being placed into a medical transport vehicle. The man allegedly spit and yelled, “Bitch!” toward the officer, who then appears in frame and takes a swing at the handcuffed man.
The officer can then be heard saying, “Don’t ever do that shit again to any officer,” before being pulled away and having another officer suggest that he “grab a spit mask” for the man.
“The images in the video are deeply disturbing and while we must wait for the investigation to be completed, the Department will act swiftly in any instance of excessive or unnecessary force,” LAPD Chief Michel Moore said Monday.
LAPD said in a statement that it launched a complain investigation as soon as it heard about the video footage, with the officer’s “peace officer powers” being stripped.
