LAPD DUI checkpoints. That's right, it's time for our weekly checkpoint tip sheet.

The department actually wants you to know they're on the job, looking for drunktards, in hopes that maybe this information will discourage you entirely from going Lindsay Lohan behind the wheel. Will it?

Only you can prevent DUIs.

States the po-po:

Sobriety checkpoints are a proven enforcement tool effective in reducing the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol involved crashes, as well as being an valuable means for heightening awareness of the dangers of impaired driving.

And so, here's what you want to avoid:

Topanga Canyon Boulevard between Devonshire Street and Chatsworth Street in Chatsworth on Friday between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m.
