A Los Angeles Police Department detective whose job was to conduct compliance checks on massage parlors forced three women who worked at the businesses to undress before he fondled them, prosecutors alleged.

Today 49-year-old Oris Pace was sentenced to 180 days behind bars for his deeds, the L.A. County District Attorney's office announced.

The cop, who must resign from the department, also got three years probation, prosecutors said:

In June Pace pleaded no contest to three counts of assault involving victims at separate parlors where the Commission Investigation Division supervisor was “enforcing business permits,” the D.A.'s office says.

According to a statement from the office:

While on duty, he forced three separate victims to undress or he undressed them and fondled them at massage parlors in the San Fernando Valley …

Prosecutors say it was the LAPD itself that discovered the crimes.
