BLUE CANYON, CA (October 28, 2022) – Wednesday morning, police were dispatched to a big-rig crash on Interstate 80 involving two trucks.

The crash happened on October 19th, on the westbound lanes of the Interstate involving a big-rig and a delivery truck.

Following the collision, the emergency crews issued a road closure in the area in order to perform cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, investigations into the causes of the big-rig crash on Interstate 80 are underway.

No further details about the incident are currently available. However, Blue Canyon officials will update with more information once it becomes available.

Because of their sheer size, large vehicles, like big-rigs and trailers, increase the risk of a crash. So, if you are driving one, always be mindful of your vehicle’s large height and weight. Maintain your travel lane and follow the speed limit. Be sure to keep a safe following distance from the car in front of you. Also, adjust your driving accordingly to make way for lane changes and other vehicles.
