Fire Captain Hospitalized after Multi-Car Collision on Tampa Avenue

RESEDA, CA (July 8, 2022) –  A three-vehicle crash on Roscoe Boulevard and Tampa Avenue left an LAFD EMS Captain with serious injuries.

Dispatchers received reports about the incident at around 12:50 p.m., at the 10300 block of West Roscoe Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after, on Monday afternoon.

While responding to an emergency call in a department SUV, with lights and sirens on, the captain became involved in an accident. Footage from the scene shows that three vehicles were involved, one of which was green.

At this time, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear. Although, reports indicate that crews called towing services to help clear the wreckage.

Paramedics transported the LAFD EMS Captain to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, no further details regarding the three-vehicle crash on Roscoe Boulevard are public; however, more information will be provided once made available. An active investigation into crash on West Roscoe Boulevard is underway.
