If you tuned in to Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards and thought that Lady Gaga looked like a piece of meat, you'd be right. The singer, praised as much for her extreme fashion sense as she is for her consistent presence on Billboard's Top 10 list, accepted the MTV Video of the Year Award dressed in a Franc Fernandez-designed dress made from what appeared to be raw meat.

As usual, reactions to Gaga's wardrobe were mixed (PETA claimed the dress achieved a look of “bloody violence and suffering”) even though the singer neither confirmed nor denied that her dress was crafted with actual animal flesh. While it doesn't make a difference to us — The Beatles posed with raw meat on their 1966 Yesterday And Today album cover, and Lady Gaga previously donned a beef bikini for an issue of Vogue Hommes Japan — we had a good time IDing some of the possible cuts of meat. No word on whether it were organic, grass-fed or of the Costco value-pack variety. Assuming, of course, that it was meat.
