With her unique style and emphasis on creative self expression, Lady Gaga’s makeup brand Haus Laboratories has made a name for itself, even within the crowded beauty market, thanks to inventive packaging, eye-catching colors and formulas, and the popstar’s glamorous marketing allure. Stefani Germanotta has always done things differently and her latest endeavor, based right here in L.A., is no exception. Haus Labs has teamed up with the shopping app Klarna for  “The Studio by Klarna x Haus Labs,” a fabulous creative and incubator space. Aimed at influencers, artists and small emerging brands, the studio is part workspace/part hang space for creators chosen by Haus, each of whom got a $10k grant from Klarna as part of its mentorship program.

It’s a pretty sweet deal for those lucky enough to be involved. Gaga fans in particular got a lot to swoon over in the space, including a custom Keytar display from Gaga’s past tours adorning the walls, an “Aura Generator,” and other interactive amusements.

While the space is exclusive to Haus’ staffers and creators, and hence, not open to the public right now, LA Weekly got some sneak peak pics for this slideshow, which also includes images created by two L.A. based mentees currently utilizing the facilities (which include a full sound stage, glam room, Klarna “Smoooth” lounge and more). The creators seen here include:  @Biddy, a You Tube content creator representing stylish South Asian women with fashion, beauty and lifestyle content; and @VariJStylez (Tavaris Jefferson), a makeup artist known for beguiling beauty content, which scored him a nomination for “Emerging Makeup Artist of the Year” at the 2020 American Influencer Awards.

“As we continue to grow as a brand, we felt it was important to create a space of love and freedom that people in our community could come to and feel free to create without rules,” says Gaga, via PR for the project. “We want to lift up the creators in our community as they continue to hone their crafts and give them the tools they need to do so.”
