Only funky femmes like these could tempt us to abandon our plan to hibernate 'til Halloween. Tonight, Thursday, Oct. 29, three of dance music's most beguiling females take over the decks in LA.

At AFEX, Adam 12's old school hip-hop joint, one time Prince protégé Apollonia takes the decks for a special DJ set. (Who knew the Purple Rain star even knew how to work the turntables?) Spinderella sure does, and when we bumped into the Salt n' Pepa beatress at the DJ Hero release party on Monday at the Key Club, she promised a hot set and sonic surprises. Hopefully, the gals will pump up some of his Purple majesty, but just in case they don't check out this mix 12 made in honor of the night.

At Temporary Spaces II, 4658 Melrose Ave. https://www.myspace.com/afex12

The city's sassiest scene queens will be at Drrrama!! for a pre-Halloween groove-fest featuring NYC's Lady Miss Kier deejaying. As lead singer for Dee-lite, Kier was dee-vine, wasn't she? Gaga-schmaga, this lass was the original NYC pop-chart art tart beloved by gays and mainstream music fans alike. Why Dee-lite didn't maintain their magic is anyone's guess, but World Clique remains one of the best dancefloor fillers ever. We hear Kier is a real whirler, and seeing her spin amidst Drrrama's ultra flam-BOY-ant freaks and fashionistos just might be the biggest treat of the week. Drrramatic and dee-lectable dress is a must for this one. At the Standard Hollywood's Purple Lounge, 8300 Sunset Blvd. www.drrrama.com

No Nightranger column this week, but look a report from the DJ Hero launch & Halloween next week.
