Visual arts students, we've got an exciting opportunity for you. L.A. Weekly is currently seeking multimedia interns for this semester, as well as for the summer. We're hoping you might be the right person to join our team.

We're on the hunt for someone who can take stunning photographs and create online galleries, shoot and edit video, assist with photo shoots and much more. You'll work closely with the art director, news editor and web editor to create original work that will be used on our blogs and in print, as well as in our online slideshow section.

Sound like something you'd be into? Good! Here's what you need to know:

What we're looking for:

– Students with great photography and videography skills who have the ability to edit their own work
– Someone comfortable talking to people and/or gathering facts during shoots
– An enthusiastic and creative worker comfortable with both fulfilling assignments and coming up with their own project ideas

Interested students should email Kristin Bjornsen at kristin.bjornsen@voicemediagroup.com with a resume and cover letter, as well as examples of their best photo and video work. (Attachments or links are fine.)

All interns MUST be enrolled in school and able to receive credit.

Good luck!
