The city of Los Angeles loves the wild-haired wizard of Walt Disney Concert Hall, conductor Gustavo Dudamel. The LA Phil knows the gold mine they got with their music director–he made even us classical-music commoners stop yawning and pay closer attention (really, it's hard to doze off when he's leaping into the air like he's got Pogo Sticks for legs).

Like every artistic medium (ahem, Oscars' Anne Hathaway/James Franco ploy), classical music is trying to color itself hip so it doesn't die with its traditional audience. LA Phil is ahead of the game with Dudamel at the helm, but they're also enlivening this Sunday's Tchaikovsky's Shakespeare-inspired program with readings from movie stars like Orlando Bloom and Anika Noni Rose:

law logo2x bLA Phil's Tweeting requests for questions for Dudamel, five of which will be answered in his post-show Q&A (broadcast in HD!). The ones we've seen so far are bor-ing (kinda like when radio stations take questions for rappers and all the callers ask is, “so when you comin' to Louisville?”), so go spice it up.
