On Saturday, September 19, at exactly 9:02 p.m., the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival broke the Guinness Book World Record for “Most Seafood Prepared at an Outdoor Festival.” Lobster Fest served up 12,527 pounds, 4 ounces of lobster on the second day of the three-day festival, breaking the previous Guinness record of 3,835 pounds. L.A. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn was on the scene at San Pedro's Ports o' Call to announce the kick-assery.
