If you're the sort of person who dreams in Valrhona and rates chocolates in terms of country of origin and cacao percentages, then you might want to start eating salads right now. In less than two weeks, the Los Angeles Chocolate Salon will be returning to the Pasadena Center for its 3rd year. In twice the space they had last year: more than 35 chocolatiers, chocolate tastings, chef demos, wine tastings and interviews by TasteTV's Chocolate Television, which sponsors the event. New this year will be a chocolate chef competition and a lounge specifically for the V.I.C., or Very Important Chocolate lover. A chocolate lounge? Maybe that's where you get to shut that important door and eat all the bon bons you just scored from the confection booths in private, maybe on a fainting couch. Hope they don't have the television cameras set up in there, as that could get scary. But no worries; as far as we know, Chocolate Television is not a reality show. Yet.
