Tens of thousands of tacos were consumed at our third annual taco festival — and we're still not sick of tacos. Held at at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, Tacolandia featured more than 80 top taco vendors — that's double the number from last year, for those keeping track — curated by the world's first “tacorazzo,” Bill Esparza. Among the vendors descending on the June 6 event were Valle de Guadalupe's famed Corazon de Tierra restaurant (rated one of the 50 best places to eat in Latin America), Tacos Puntas Cabras, Guerrilla Tacos, Kogi BBQ and Mariscos Jalisco. In addition to tacos galore, the event was graced with performances by electro-cumbia group Cumbia Machin, Southwest singer-songwriter De'Anza and L.A.'s bridge between '50s rock & roll and Latin punk, Thee Commons. Photos by Anne Fishbein.
