Mark your calendars: We're having an art party!

The second annual Artopia, an L.A. Weekly event celebrating art, music and culture, will be May 15 from 7-11 p.m. at  Grand Central Market. Which means, yes, this celebration of art will also feature a shit-ton of good food. And cocktails. Did we mention cocktails?

Shana Nys Dambrot, an art critic and L.A. Weekly contributor, curated the event, with artists HUEMAN, Jim Mahfood and Ramiro Gomez participating in live art installations. Creative collective dublab is doing the music, while Bohemian Society brings a fashion showcase

Of course, the whole thing is tied into the awesome L.A. Weekly People issue, which hits the streets May 15. While we can't tell you who's going to be featured in this year's annual roundup of the city's most fascinating people, we can tell you this is going to be the best edition yet. (Do we say that every year? Maybe. But this issue always rocks. And this year, we're totally earning that superlative.)

Tickets go on presale at 10 a.m. That means you can get them here, now, for a limited time only, using the code ARTBLOG. A mere $30 will cover entrance, and booze is included. DID WE MENTION BOOZE?

See you there.
