Last Saturday, the second installment of Sweet Streets, a large group show featuring works inspired by Japanese street fashion, opened at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra.

L.A. Weekly photographer Shannon Cottrell, who has probably shot a catalog's worth of photos of girls dressed in labels like Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Angelic Pretty over the past two years, was asked to contribute to the show. Her piece, titled “Shades of Red” features model and artist Yume Ninja. Congratulations, Shannon.

This year's Sweet Streets show also featured work from Misha, Junko Mizuno, Martin Hsu, Aimee Major Steinberger, Yume Ninja and many others. The show runs through October 4.
