Hampstead stars Diane Keaton as Emily, an American widow living in an upscale London neighborhood who discovers an Irish loner (Brendan Gleeson) living in a shack on land worth millions. When real estate developers want to kick him out using legal red tape, Emily begins a campaign to save his home, falling in love with him in the process. Lesley Manville co-stars in this comedy directed by Joel Hopkins, which will be released simultaneously in theaters and on VOD.

In Head Count, a group of teens vacationing in Joshua Tree summon a shape-shifting demon after reciting a chant they find on the internet. Newcomer Elle Callahan directs a cast of up-and-comers that includes Ashleigh Morghan, Isaac W. Jay and Sam Marra. The film premiered at the 2018 Los Angeles Film Festival and will open exclusively at Arena Cinelounge.

For the Birds (Dogwoof)

For the Birds is a generous documentary about Kathy, an animal lover who cares for over 200 chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys on her modest Ulster County estate. Animal rights advocacy groups demonstrate concern over the conditions in which the birds are kept while Kathy’s family rally around her in support. Richard Miron’s quiet observational style might attract non-fiction fans with a yen for human — and animal — drama.

Framing John DeLorean tells the true story of the flashy American engineer who invented a car company and spiraled subsequently into ruin. The flagship vehicle was featured prominently in Back to the Future but failed to recoup the nearly $200 million in investment costs. DeLorean was eventually arrested and put on trial for trafficking cocaine. Directors Sheena M. Joyce and Don Argott combine talking-head interviews with cinematic reenactments starring Alec Baldwin, who frequently pauses to comment on the role he is creating.
