The Dead Don’t Die, a Jim Jarmusch zom-com, takes its title from a pulpy 1951 Robert Bloch short story (and subsequent made-for-TV Curtis Harrington movie) but otherwise stands on its own. It opened the Cannes Film Festival last month and will be released wide through Focus Features. The story concerns a zombie outbreak in upstate New York that throws a small-town sheriff (Bill Murray) into a panic. The all-star supporting cast includes Adam Driver and Chloe Sevigny as befuddled deputies, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Carol Kane, Selena Gomez, Tom Waits, Austin Butler and Eszter Balint. Iggy Pop, Sara Driver, Larry Fessenden, and others are featured undead extras.
