It's time for another season of SXSW, that joyful time where bands from across the universe descend upon Austin and leave behind a wake of PBR cans, promo CDs, and more than one broken heart.

But for those Los Angelenos who are adventuresome enough to make the trek, we suggest bringing a little hometown spirit to the Lone Star state.

Today we recommend for you a great showcase of some L.A.-related bands, who provide the flavor of our fair city for the masses. Tonight at Malverde, we suggest checking out the IAMSOUND showcase featuring L.A.'s phenomenal polyglot rockers Fool's Gold and the art/dance electro collective We Are the World.

Not to mistaken with this We Are the World, or even this one, WATW and Fool's Gold both serve up some of Los Angeles' finest freakazoid and cross-pollinated populations. And don't forget the dreamscapes of Smell stalwarts, VoicesVoices.

Austin won't know what hit 'em.
