Remember a few weeks ago when we told you all about the amazing lady brewers who would be spending International Women's Day simultaneously making the same beer in brewhouses around the world?

Well, those happy little yeast organisms have done their boozy duty and before Women's History Month us up, some of the beers created on the so-called International Women's Collaboration Brew Day will be ready to drink.

Starting off the local release parties for Unite – the hoppy pale ale, which now exists as more than 60 versions in five countries – is tonight's Pink Boots Tap Takeover at Mohawk Bend, a full-on celebration of California's female brewers that will include a first taste of the collaboration beer.

Though the Unite batches made by Golden Road Brewing and Angry Horse Brewing – the only two L.A. breweries that participated – still have another week or so to ferment, Mohawk Bend has set up an epic lineup of lady-brewed beer that features the Unite Pale Ale made at Bay Area's Drake's Brewing.

No less than five Pink Boots Society members (think: Kim Lutz of Saint Archer Brewing and Alexandra Nowell of female-run Three Weavers) will be on hand for the event and $1 from every beer sold will go towards the nonprofit organization's scholarship and education efforts.

Golden Road says they expect their own 50-barrel batch of Unite to be ready next week (distro will be limited so check the Golden Road Pub, Tony's Darts Away and Mohawk Bend for best chances) and Angry Horse is releasing theirs at a separate event on April 19, when the home-brewed Unite will be donated to City Tavern in Culver City and tapped at a Pink Boots fundraiser.

Pink Boots Tap Takeover, Wednesday March 19, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Mohawk Bend, 2141 W. Sunset Blvd., Echo Park.

Unite Pale Ale Fundraiser Release Party, Saturday April 19, 1 p.m., City Tavern, 9739 Culver Blvd., Culver City.
