Tracking down all the new food trucks popping up around town can be tiring–especially if you're not constantly checking your Twitter account. Today you can stop texting in traffic and do it in line instead. Twelve of the most buzzed about food trucks in L.A. are gathering at a Santa Monica parking lot (previously a Christmas tree lot) at what the SoCal Food Vendors Association is calling the Gourmet Food Truck Corner, and it launched this morning at 11 a.m. Participating vendors include Nom Nom, Cool Haus, Border Grill, Indiana Jones Truck, FishLips Sushi, Kogi BBQ, and the Grilled Cheese Truck (see flyer below for the complete list.) The lot's tentative schedule is 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Think cheap, gourmet, rolling (or parked, actually) buffet.
