For some of us, most of the joy of Thanksgiving comes from the long hours in the kitchen, sweating over a hot bird, mashing potatoes, rolling out pie crusts and making cranberry sauce from scratch. But not many of us. 

For the rest of us, there are a number of options. You can go out to a restaurant for Thanksgiving. You can do all the cooking and hate every minute of it. You can ignore the entire dumb thing altogether. Or, you can get a Thanksgiving meal to-go, serve it in the comfort of your own home, and get all the joy with none (or less) of the cooking. You can even pretend you made it yourself. We won't tell your guests. 

Here are six great places where you can get your holiday feast to-go:

Cook's County: Cook's County is offering sides, salads, gravy and desserts for Thanksgiving. Each item feeds four to six people, and costs between $20 and $40 per item. Order by noon on Monday, Nov. 24, and pick up the day before Thanksgiving between 2 and 6 p.m. Order online here. 8009 Beverly Blvd., Beverly Grove. 

Farmshop: Farmshop has a huge selection of Thanksgiving dishes, including turkey (you can choose to cook the pre-brined bird yourself or have them cook it for you), ham, cheese platters, all kinds of vegetable sides, and desserts. Most sides serve around four people and cost around $14. Order by Tuesday, Nov. 25, and pick up from Tuesday through 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving day. Order online here. 225 26th St., Santa Monica.

Huckleberry: Huckleberry is offering a giant selection of sides, main meat dishes, breads and desserts this year. You can choose from turkey thighs braised in red wine, turkey meatballs, or gravy-smothered thighs. Larder at Tavern: Who wouldn't want Suzanne Goin cooking their turkey dinner? The Larder at Tavern offers à la carte to-go Thanksgiving dinner, or you can just choose the all-inclusive option, which serves eight and costs $480. That option includes turkey, stuffing, gravy, six veggie sides, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie and a pecan tart. If you want to mix and match or choose your own sides, you can do that as well from a large menu. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, and you choose pickup times and locations (Tavern or the Larder at Burton Way). SunCafe: This year, SunCafe will be offering “cooked vegan” and “raw” Thanksgiving dinner to-go boxes. Each box contains five courses, including a salad, soup, entrée, sides and dessert. SunCafe is also offering a selection of pies and cheesecakes for pick-up (all pies are vegan, raw and gluten-free). Thanksgiving to-go boxes are $55 per person (choice of raw or cooked vegan). Tam O'Shanter: The Atwater Village mainstay is offering a customizable meal built around your choice of roast turkey, roast beef or roast prime ribs. Sides to choose from include creamed corn, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, whipped cream horseradish, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and more.
