L.A.-based conservative pit bull Andrew Breitbart is about as right as it gets here on the left coast. But that doesn't mean he isn't down with the rainbow massive.

To prove it Breitbart pulled out every musical stereotype in the book (declaring his love for Depeche Mode, Cure, New Order!) to announce that he's hosting a GOProud gay conservative dance party at next month's Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C.

Kind of like George P. Bush calling his grand kids the “little brown ones” and then hoping that would attract the Latino vote.

[We assume the Ted Nugent wing of the GOP won't be happy with an '80s new wave dance party to welcome gay Republicans].

Okay, Andrew, if you're really down with LGBT we want to see you at the party in head-to-toe Tom Ford — all white, of course. And make it a full-on circuit party while you're at it.

Here's what Breitbart had to say:

“I am not endorsing gay marriage, I'm not endorsing Don't Ask, Don't Tell. I will be the harshest critic of the activist gay left, who I fear more than al-Qaida. But for these people not to exist in a two-party system, for you to tell them they're not welcome in the big tent, I have a huge problem with that and I'm going to indulge in my all '80s Depeche Mode, Cure, New Order fetish and we're going to have a big 'ol gay party at CPAC.”

Wow, don't cross the line, Andy. You're so close, with your Cure-speak and all. Don't be surprised if Ted Nugent gives you the cold shoulder.
