An L.A. County man was arrested for invasion of privacy on Christmas Eve, after allegedly filming and photographing women in restrooms across L.A. and Ventura County.

Ventura County Sheriff’s had been investigating Juventino Jesus Miranda Cardona, 39, for an October 24 incident where he was accused of using his phone to film or photograph a woman in a Oaks Mall restroom in Thousand Oaks.

The woman involved confronted Cardona, who said he did not have a cell phone. The woman photographed the man’s face and reported him to the Ventura County Sheriff’s.

The Sheriff’s were eventually able to identify Cardona and seize his phone where they found multiple photos and videos of women inside restroom stalls, as well as slow motion videos of women walking inside stores and upskirt-style photos exposing their underwear.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s believe the photos and videos were taken throughout multiple stores across L.A. and Ventura County, including Target stores, Costco, Walmart, Home Depot and 99 Cents Only stores.

Cardona’s bail was set at $10,000.
