This is the fourth annual Alex's Lemonade, a huge and laudable event that benefits childhood cancer research. Hosted by Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne (Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern) and David Lentz (the Hungry Cat), with Jimmy Kimmel, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, this giant food fest has a long list of participating chefs, including Chris Bianco, Giada De Laurentiis, Susan Feniger, Neal Fraser, Duff Goldman, Adam Perry Lang, Ludo Lefebvre, Mary Sue Milliken, Jonathan Waxman, Matt Accarrino, April Bloomfield, Vinny Dotolo and Michael Cimarusti. Between that (incomplete) list, the doubtless amazing food that they'll be serving and the noble cause, you probably don't need much convincing. Bartenders, vintners and movie stars, too!

ONEgeneration Food Truck Movie Nights
ONEgeneration, a local nonprofit enriching the lives of seniors, children and their families, begins its fall series of dinner and a movie — in this case, dinner being from a selection of food trucks and a movie being a favorite shown outside in a soccer field on what's billed as “the world's largest inflatable movie screen in high-definition.” (The events are in collaboration with CommCinema, a Malibu-based digital cinema company.) Sounds pretty great from here. The first flick in the series will be Iron Man 3. All the net proceeds benefit ONEgeneration. (No tall chairs!)
WHAT: Food Truck Movie Nights
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 28, and every Saturday following through Oct. 26. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.; the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.

COST: $10 for adults; $5 for those 65 and over or 17 and under. Tickets available at the venue or online. Parking is available at a patrolled lot for $5.
Wolfgang Puck and Daniel Boulud Dinner
Sure, you can see Wolfgang Puck around town pretty regularly, but how often do you get to hang out with Daniel Boulud? Puck is hosting Boulud in a one-time event at Puck's Bel-Air outpost in what is, according to the press release, the first time the two celebrated chefs have worked one-on-one in the kitchen together. The dinner is in celebration of Boulud's new book, DANIEL: My French Cuisine, and marks the 20th anniversary of his NYC restaurant, also called DANIEL. The event is a one-night-only, five-course menu, featuring farmers market ingredients selected by the chefs that morning. Copies of the book will be available at the dinner. Reservations accepted beginning Sept. 23 (that's today) at 9 a.m., which you should know since this probably will sell out fast, even at the hefty price.
