The L.A. Kings' parade is happening Thursday on Figueroa Street near Staples Center, venue officials announced last night.

The event will celebrate the Kings' 6-1 Stanley Cup championship victory over the New Jersey Devils Monday at Staples. There will also be a fan rally at Staples Center following the parade.

Here are the details:

The parade starts at noon at 5th and Figueroa streets Thursday and will head south to L.A. Live / Staples Center. It will last about 30 to 45 minutes, according to organizers.

Can you go? Of course. But lineup more toward 5th Street: The area around Staples will be mostly off-limits except if you have tickets to the Staples' rally, in which case you're in:

Fans with tickets for the STAPLES Center Rally event scheduled later in the day may show their tickets to enter special viewing areas along Chick Hearn Ct. on the south side of the street in STAPLES Center's Star Plaza or on the north side of the street in L.A. LIVE's Nokia Plaza. Only those with tickets for the Rally can enter these areas.

Bars and restaurants at L.A. Live will be open, with limited access via the northern entrance off Olympic Boulevard.

Priority for those free tickets to the 2:30 p.m. 60-minute rally at Staples will go to season ticket holders, but after that it's wide open. Here's how you can get yours:

Access to any remaining tickets for the general public will begin at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 12. Tickets can be reserved at www.lakings.com/parade and will be available on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of four tickets per order.

Figueroa will be closed between 3rd Street and starting at 4 a.m. Thursday.
