Sure, we have our share of romantic places, from Santa Monica Pier to Griffith Observatory, Malibu to the Old Bank District.

But if you said Los Angeles was one of the most romantic travel destinations in America, we'd have to do a double take. Miami, Manhattan, Sleepless in Seattle, and the shores of San Diego come to mind. But here we are, in the top 10:

Los Angeles comes in at number 6 on the MissTravel blog's ranking of “Most Romantic Cities in North America.”

Why? It's not clear. The rationale for this particular evaluation was not revealed, and nothing in particular was said about our fine city. But MissTravel did state this:

There's just something about beaches, sunshine, and the dependable promise of summer that feeds the fire of love…or maybe it's the little clothing.

Guess that's true. And we have more of all that than most cities in the United States.
